To już 8. rok funkcjonowania strony internetowej o Klimontowie. Prawdę mówiąc strona poświęcona jest głównie badaniu jego fascynującej historii. Nie bylibyśmy w stanie jej prowadzić bez niezwykle ciepłego oraz życzliwego odbioru ze strony Internautów (zarówno z kraju jak i z zagranicy), z którymi mieliśmy przyjemność spotkania się, porozmawiania i wymiany e-maili...


Internet daje praktycznie niekończące się możliwości wymiany informacji. Bez internetu zapewne nigdy nie bylibyśmy w stanie dotrzeć do informacji np. na temat historii brytyjskich jeńców, którzy stacjonowali w Klimontowie w czasie II wojny światowej czy dalszego – jakże interesującego – losu pilotów z II plutonu 26 Eskadry Obserwacyjnej, którzy bronili nieba nad Klimontowem na początku września 1939 r.


Wiele artykułów skierowanych jest w szczególności do Młodszego Pokolenia. W historii naszej dzielnicy pojawiało się wiele osób, spora ich część już niestety nie żyje, które mogłyby być dzisiaj przykładem jak należy postępować, co znaczy miłość i poświęcenie dla Ojczyzny. W dzisiejszych czasach takich ludzi jest coraz mniej. Powinniśmy być dumni z miejsca, z którego pochodzimy. Warto i dziś kierować się w życiu zasadami, które przyświecały w przeszłości wielu mieszkańcom Klimontowa i innym ludziom, którzy bohatersko zapisali się w historii naszej dzielnicy. Historie części tych ludzi opisano na niniejszej stronie. Nie zapominajmy jednakże o tych, którzy nie doczekali się upamiętnienia, zginęli w czasie wojny, zmarli w zapomnieniu. Pamiętajmy także o ludziach, którzy przelewali pot pracując w klimontowskiej kopalni czy kamieniołomach…


Strona funkcjonuje właśnie po to by ocalić pamięć o tym co wielkie i o tym co powoli odchodzi.
